TECA Multiplanar:
the human body moves in many directions.

TECA has created Multiplanar, a range of equipment allowing multiple exercises in the standing position on the three planes of movement (frontal, sagittal, transverse) and multiaxial and multiarticular exercises. All of this reproducing faithfully the functional movements of daily life and the most common sports disciplines, allowing exercises not possible with traditional equipment and contextualising the movement within a specific request for functional training.

TECA Multiplanar:
the evolution of Switching concept.

According to the studies on postural assessment, in 2001 Teca invented Switching showing that in the standing position training there is less strain on the spine, greater respect for the physiological curves and constant activation of the core to improve stability and back protection. Test with a thermography showed that standing workout involves 90% of muscles with an increase of 125% compared to workouts in a sitting position.
The sitting position is not at all a resting position: studies by Nachemson, Troiser and Caillet showed that the load on the spine increases considerably when seated, causing a lot of stress on certain anatomical structures.
The standing position respects the physiological curves and constantly activates the abdominal belt. Muscle activity in a sitting position: 40%. Muscle activity in an standing position: 90%

The pillars of functional training

TECA Multiplanar is inspired by the basic characteristics of functional training to respond, in an innovative way, to the current demands of fitness and sport.
1. Multiplanar exercises
TECA Multiplanar allows the execution of exercises that simultaneously involve multiple joints by activating the kinetic chains and maximum muscle synergy.

2. Multiarticular exercises
TECA Multiplanar allows the execution of exercises that simultaneously involve multiple joints by activating the kinetic chains and maximum muscle synergy.

3. Multiaxial exercises
TECA Multiplanar allows motor gestures that require torsion and/or rotation of the torso, which together with the standing position, activate stimulation and strenghtening of the CORE.

4. Exercises with stability and posture control
TTECA Multiplanar allows to train these conditions by creating the opportunity for exercises ranging from two-feet / two-hands support to single foot / single hand support (monolateral workouts on crossed chain). Moreover, the stimulation of proprioceptive receptors can be trained using the various accessories that Multiplanar is equipped with (platforms, etc.)

5. Exercises with wide articular “ROM” range
TECA Multiplanar allows a wide range of movement, thanks also to the independent and released arms with which the machines are equipped.

6. Exercises with different ways of muscle contraction
TECA Multiplanar, thanks to the possibility to move during the exercises, allows to alternate and change the ways of muscle contraction (concentric, eccentric, isometric).
