Another prerogative of the rocker board is that it reduces the tangential pressures on the spine during the entire thrust function and the incidence of the inertia force on the lumbar spine during the eccentric stroke, the latter being responsible for several cases of retrospondylolisthesis in athletes who used heavy loads in the traditional leg press.
By means of the variable pantograph movement, the tilting platform and the regulation of the inclination of the backrest, it has been possible to reduce the tangential load compressions on the spinal column during the leg extension phase (concentric phase), while in the eccentric phase much attention has been paid to reducing the force of inertia that is normally unloaded on the lumbar tract, dangerously flattening the physiological curve, a negative factor present in the traditional leg press.
This is also a unique machine, very different from traditional machines, certainly safer and capable of allowing a more physiological and complete work of the lower limbs and great buttocks. The hydraulic pre-loading device with a double pump allows the load to be easily lifted to the pre-start point, (the starting point with half-reclined legs). The presence of a counterweight negates the load of the tilting structure, including the footplate. The footplate is solid and wide and is covered with non-slip aluminium. There are pins on the footplate for additional loading and splitting of the load. The plate pack is lined with nylon to allow quiet and smooth movement.
To appreciate this machine you have to use it, you will discover a new and comfortable way of working the lower limbs, even increasing the intensity. It has a racy appearance, a small footprint among its peers, elegant backrest padding and careful painting. Suitable for fitness, body building and athletic training, it can also be used advantageously in rehabilitation.
