This is the posture that benefits most from training in a standing position. Studies carried out with surface electromyography have shown that in a sitting position during the vertical thrust in the trapezius muscle there was a higher and earlier activity than in the same movement performed while standing. Safety is also guaranteed on the shoulders by the possibility of varying the grip, from prone to neutral, for all those subjects with reduced capacity for movement in extra-rotation, especially in the eccentric phase. More advanced exercises can also be performed on a single stand and with a single arm, as well as torsional and explosive exercises.
