The muscle bundles of the arms flex towards the face with one supporting limb slightly forward of the other. The upright position and the constraint on the forearm allow a targeted training of the elbow flexor muscles and in addition a small flexion of the shoulder. The position with legs apart on the saggital plane is recommended for better control of the lumbar spine. More advanced exercises can also be performed on a single supporting limb, with the forearm and elbow free, suitable for injury prevention.
