This is the station that benefits the most from upright station training. Studies conducted with surface electromyography have shown that in a seated position during vertical push, the trapezius muscle showed higher and earlier activity compared to the same movement performed standing. Safety on the shoulders is also guaranteed by the possibility of changing the grip, from prone to neutral, for those subjects with reduced movement capacity in external rotation, especially in the eccentric phase. More advanced exercises can also be performed, even on a single support and with only one arm, as well as twisting and explosive exercises.
