Renovating the Gym: Tips to Avoid Mistakes

🕛 4 min

Are you a fitness entrepreneur and have decided to renovate your club? Do you want to find out how to renovate the gym? You are in the right place, and thanks to the tips you can read in this article, you can modernize your club with the certainty of having made the best choices.

Renovating the gym: our tips

If you have opened a gym for some time now, renovating it is a more than understandable decision. Today, fitness centers have become more than just structures where people train to get back in good physical shape.

Instead, the gym is a space where wellness, fun, motivation, socialization, and results go hand in hand. To achieve all these goals, it is essential to set up the various areas of the club in the best way, choose technological and quality equipment or vary the offering of services to make it more complete and attractive.

Where to start, then, to renovate the gym? Here are the fundamental tips to avoid making mistakes.

Divide your gym into distinct areas

Regardless of the size of your structure, the different areas of the gym must be separated and easily identifiable. A fitness center where there is no distinction between the various environments will be confusing for users.

The best thing is to create conceptual areas, so as to respond as much as possible to the various needs. A very simple division provides: • A isometric room, where iron lovers can express all the sports charge, • A class room for all users who love to do fitness in company

If your goal is to improve and enhance the offering of your services, you might consider evolving the classic way of setting up a gym to create new areas and, therefore, attract a larger audience. A women-only area. An area for those who have little time to dedicate to the gym. A space for over 65s. Another for bodyweight training.

Renew the gym:  enhance the isotonic area

In an isotonic room that will make anyone fall in love, the right equipment will make all the difference. No matter how large the premises are, there are smart solutions on the market that can optimize even the smallest spaces. What you absolutely cannot do without is quality. Only high-quality equipment will allow your users to experience a unforgettable fitness experience. How to recognize an excellent piece of equipment and, above all, what are the equipment that cannot be missing in a top-notch isotonic room? The isotonic room, as we know, was created to redesign the entire body through targeted strength and muscle hypertrophy training. But simply purchasing any type of equipment is not enough. Only the best, such as the Prestige line from TECA, for example, allow you to train in an easy, safe, and effective way thanks to special devices and great inventions that give the equipment exceptional biomechanics. To ensure a memorable training experience, the following five TECA equipment cannot be missing from the isotonic room: Advanced Chest Press – ideal for a complete workout of the chest muscles. A one-of-a-kind machine, with converging arms, with independent movements. Also on the machine are the ROM limiter device to allow proper exercise, special joints to reduce joint stress, and a preload lever to make starting and ending the exercise easier. Dorsi-pecto – a unique machine with a dual use possibility. The first, to train the large dorsal muscle with a joint excursion of over 180° per arm. The second, to stimulate the lower portion of the chest muscles, with a movement similar to the cable cross-over, but safer and therefore easier for everyone. Shoulder press – equipped with the ROM limiter device, to limit the range of motion, allows anyone to safely train the shoulders, even those with poor joint mobility. Hack Squat – equipped with an exclusive and innovative system, the Variable Setting Pantograph, and some exclusive mechanical principles developed by TECA, this machine revolutionizes the way to train the leg muscles. Comfort, safety, and versatility of use: unbeatable. Leg Press – essential for strengthening the lower limb muscles and the large gluteus. For a more correct training from a physiological point of view, this machine also adopts the variable setting pantograph movement.

Renovate the gym: set up corners and targeted areas for specific workouts

If you now have a clear idea of how to modernize the isokinetic room and the cardio fitness area, but you want to expand your center’s offering even more, what follows is for you. A sure way to renovate your gym is to create targeted areas to respond even more specifically to the needs of your members. Here are some winning models developed by TECA

• Women’s area For a top-notch physique, women’s training can no longer be relegated to long cardio sessions, as still occurs in the vast majority of gyms today. The woman’s body needs equipment that can reshape the silhouette and combat the most stubborn fat accumulations, in the most critical areas (thighs, buttocks, waist, abdomen, and arms). Circuit training systems such as Switching and Legs & Glutes represent true shock treatments for women, the first to tone and slim down the entire body, the second to act specifically on legs and buttocks, for a higher and firmer B-side, and reshaped legs, with less water retention and cellulite.

â€¢ Core training area A strong core, a slender waistline, and defined abs rightfully belong on the list of must-haves for a physique at the top of its form. However, in gyms that don’t keep up with the times, it’s easy to see people doing the classic crunches on the mat. Why not create a dedicated core training area in your club, where you can train abs scientifically and effectively? For this reason, TECA has developed ABSolute, the only circuit that trains the core safely and adequately, involving all the abdominal muscles thanks to the combination and progression of over 60 different exercises.

Creating a core training area in your gym will guarantee all your gym members a stronger structure, helping them significantly lower the risk of injuries resulting from daily activities and intense workouts.

• Metabolic area How to please the modern consumer who has little time for the gym? Is it possible to develop a fast, fun, and most importantly effective workout method? The answer is yes, it is possible. To meet this need, TECA has devised Switching, an innovative circuit of upright isokinetic machines that exploits the benefits of weight training and aerobic activity in the same session. A complete session lasts thirty minutes and allows you to obtain visible results after twelve workouts. By combining Switching with other Teca systems, in particular ABSolute or the Functional Bench, it is possible to create a high-impact metabolic and lipolytic area for all people who want to get back in shape without spending countless hours in the gym. The unique mix of activities (strength training on the upright isokinetic machines, core training, and functional training) accelerates weight loss and increases muscle tone throughout the body. The end result is a completely remodeled physique: strong, athletic, resilient.
